Barzer lands a hit that forces a failed Wisdom save on the black pudding, and after a fake-out threat that it might split again, Reece confirms it's dead for good.
Barzer lines up the finishing blow, and the pudding fails the save it needed. "You did not make a save," Reece says. "Take a D12."
The damage lands clean. "Fuck yeah, take 10 to crack it," Barzer says, and for a second the whole table braces for the worst — this thing has split once already, why wouldn't it do it again?
Reece lets the silence sit just long enough. "Alright, now it has to split again." A beat. "Nah, I'm fucking with you. It's dead. Good job, guys."
The black pudding encounter — cantrip crit, split reaction and all — finally closes out, and Barzer gets the credit for putting it down for good.
