The black pudding fight is still very much live when Chris notices the table's attention drifting.
"Am I the only one paying attention to the game?" they ask, not entirely rhetorically.
Shannon doesn't let it go unanswered. The back-and-forth lands on the obvious admission — remote on Discord all night, there is nothing in the room to look at but the game. "I got to say, I'm doing the one focus here because I've got nothing else to do," they say. "I'm living on the fucking screen."
It's a small moment, but it's the table at its most itself — combat grinding on in the background while everyone rides each other about who's actually locked in.
